Faith and Justice Fellows
The application is now open for the Spring 2025 CFJ Student Fellowship program!
The fellowship is open to all currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate Georgetown University students.
Deadline to Apply: December 6, 2024.
The Center on Faith and Justice Student Fellowship Program is rooted in our commitment to deepening the moral and spiritual dimensions of civic life, and in our conviction that meaningful political engagement, social and ecological justice, and healthy interior lives are intertwined. To that end, the program will involve personal formation that grounds students spiritually, while offering opportunities to engage in political advocacy, civic action, and community building.
Description
The Center on Faith and Justice is now accepting applications from undergraduate and graduate students for our Spring 2025 program. All who wish to gain experience in political advocacy and civic engagement, while deepening their sense of values and building community, should apply. Accepted Student Fellows will have the opportunity to learn and practice nonviolent resistance, advocate for just social and economic policies, and foster “a better kind of politics” rooted in a sustainable worldview.
Students also will generate a capstone project related to their areas of interest, which might include a wide variety of majors and career aims. The project will highlight the interconnection between spirituality, civic engagement, and public service.
Additionally, students will engage in regular communal practices of spiritual formation. Programming will include things like book studies, contemplative practice, reflection and discussion related to spirituality and activism, and embodied action. Students from any or no faith tradition are welcome.
